Teaching DDS students

Operative faculty and residents are responsible for 6 courses in first 3 years of the DDS program (240 students), including dental anatomy, operative and esthetic dentistry with clinical simulation and patient care components.

Advanced Education Program

9 advanced education students receive clinical and classroom instruction and guidance from faculty during their 3 year program.  

Our current students come from 6 different countries.

IDASP Teaching

Operative faculty are part of the yearly orientation and preclinical process for 4 Iowa Advanced Standing Program students.

 

Continuing Education & EFDA

Our faculty contribute to the continuing education of Iowa, US and International dental professionals by presenting at continuing education and research meetings in Iowa and around the world.  

Operative and other College of Dentistry faculty provide additional training and certification to dental assistants and hygienists from across Iowa with the Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary Level 2 training program.
