Prior to his appointment at Iowa, Dr. Piriya (Peter) Boonsiriphant was a full-time faculty and practiced in the faculty practice at Faculty of Dentistry, Srinakharinwirot University (Bangkok, Thailand) from 2009-2011.
During his residency training, Dr. Boonsiriphant was the Adisman Boot's recipient (presented to the student demonstrating the skills and talents to make him most likely to follow in the footsteps of his teachers) in 2015.
Dr. Boonsiriphant''s teaching responsibilities include predoctoral clinical supervision and evaluation of junior dental students in all phases of fixed and removable prosthodontics and patient management. In addition, he serves as an instructor in the Fixed Prosthodontics and Occlusion Laboratory courses for freshmen and sophomore dental students.
Dr. Boonsiriphant's primary activities in the College of Dentistry faculty practice include the diagnosis and interdisciplinary treatment of patients requiring fixed, removable and/or implant-supported prostheses.
Dr. Boonsiriphant's research is focused on ceramic materials for dental applications.
