Dr. Restrepo-Kennedy joined The University of Iowa College of Dentistry faculty in 2012 as a visiting assistant professor after completing her MS in oral science and certificate in operative dentistry. In 2013 she became a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry.
Dr. Restrepo-Kennedy teaches pre-doctoral students. She has been the course director of Operative Dentistry I since 2014. In 2016 she was the course director for the Dental Anatomy course. She also teaches as an instructor in the sophomore and junior clinic.
Dr. Restrepo-Kennedy works in the Operative Dentistry clinic.
Dr. Restrepo-Kennedy's MS thesis was titled: "Effect of dehydration in-office bleaching color changes."

Dr. Restrepo-Kennedy is a member of the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, the Hispanic Dental Association, the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, and the American Dental Education Association.
