Dr. Stein joined the College of Dentistry's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2013.
Dr. Stein is the course director for predoctoral Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Stein practices a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including outpatient sedation/general anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, hard and soft tissue grafting, orthognathic surgery, pathology, reconstruction, oral and maxillofacial trauma, management of odontogenic infections, and microsurgical nerve repair. He practices at the College of Dentistry, Hawkeye Oral Surgery, and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
