100% Instructional Resource Associate-Dental Lab – Prosthodontics – Req #19002733

100% Application Developer – Support Services-Technology & Media Services-Dental Informatics – Req #20001325

Primary focus: Support the College of Dentistry’s Oral Health Information System (OHIS), including all software applications (clinical information system, digital radiography, electronic health record, digital dentistry), all hardware (computers, peripherals, sensors), and report creation and maintenance.  Includes: analysis, design, implementation, and support of programmatic solutions. These solutions may include custom designed and developed applications or installed commercial applications. Architecture, design, and development of web applications are included. Incumbents at this level may plan, design, and analyze customer requests and requirements for the implementation, development, and/or support of application systems.   REQUIRES:  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent field, or an equivalent combination education/progressively responsible work experience and 3-5 years’ experience supporting enterprise level vended and/or custom developed applications, including the following skillsets:  Implementing, supporting, troubleshooting, training users and maintaining enterprise level software applications, including management of user accounts, security, application functionality, and end user workflow documentation; Knowledge of Oracle or SQL server database design, writing stored procedures, functions, triggers and complex queries; Extensive knowledge of Crystal Reports or other report writing and data analysis tools; Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and accurately, both orally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff;  and Excellent customer service, project management and organizational skills.  Desirable Qualifications:  Experience working in a healthcare or health related industry; Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau; Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office applications and Windows desktop operating systems; Experience troubleshooting computer hardware, software and peripherals; Ability to provide training and instruction on designed solutions to audiences of varying technical backgrounds; and Develop and implement applications and processes that integrate vended and custom developed software using object-oriented languages (C#, .NET, etc.).  This position is not eligible for University sponsorship for employment authorization.  For further information and to apply, please visit:  https://uiowa.referrals.selectminds.com/jobs/application-developer-6835.  On Extended Advertising.
