100% Dental Assistant II – Clinic Administration – Req #019896

Assist and work with dentists, dental students and dental hygienists.  Provide chairside dental assistance to faculty and graduate dental students in treatment of dental patients. Interacting with patients, assisting with the management of patients, training dental students in operation of the clinic, developing radiographs, and chair-side dental assisting. Will assist multiple providers.  Requires:  Current certificate of registration to practice as a dental assistant issued by the Iowa board of Dental Examiners; current Iowa certificate of proficiency in dental radiography; and successful completion of an ADAA Dental Assistance program or two years of chairside dental assistant experience assisting in four-handed method of dentistry.  Desirable:  experience working with a general dentist; ability to communicate effectively with others; experience working with electronic health records; and experience working with graduate students.  For more information and to apply, go to:  http://jobs.uiowa.edu, reference Req #019896.  Advertising:  02/18/2017 – 02/24/2017.
