100% Dental Assistant II – Pediatric Dentistry – Req #021919

Under general or direct supervision, per Iowa Dental Board rules, performs chairside duties in assistance and carries out all functions which a dental assistant is legally certified to perform as delegated by the student or faculty dentist.  Performs responsibilities in an environment that includes faculty, grad and dental students.  Employee will rotate through Pediatric Dentistry clinics in the College of Dentistry, Center for Disabilities and Development, UIHC and outreach clinics.  An advanced starting salary possible based on exceptional qualifications.  Requires:  By time of appointment, current certificate of registration to practice as a dental assistant issued by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners; current Iowa certificate of proficiency in dental radiography; and successful completion of an ADAA Dental Assistant program or two years of chairside dental assistant experience assisting in four-handed method of dentistry.   HIGHLY DESIRABLE: experience with children; and fluency in Spanish. 100% Dental Instrument Management Tech – Clinic Administration-Sterilization - Req #021948

100% Specialized Care Coordinator (Instructional Resource Associate – Dental Lab) – Family Dentistry – Req #72857

100% Clinical Trials Research Associate – Dental Research – Req #72869

Assist in the design, and assume primary responsibility for the implementation and coordination of clinical trials including multi-center Phase III trials.  Collection, organization, analysis of data for the preparation of reports and presentation of confidential data to PI’s, collaborators and/or Director of OCR.  Qualify potential patients for clinical trial inclusion according to study protocol & IRB guidelines.  Liaison between sponsor, PI, staff, and subjects to facilitate the project goals and meet the needs of the protocol and IRB guidelines.  REQUIRES:  Bachelor's degree, supplemented by one or more years of progressively responsible experience in the conduct of social science research or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.  DESIRABLE:  Experience serving as liaison between sponsor, PI, staff, and patients to facilitate the project goals and meet the needs of the protocol; Experience with IRB (human subject) regulatory requirements including obtaining informed consents and knowledge of federal regulations that apply to the conduct of human subject research; Experience coordinating clinical trials research; Experience identifying, approving, and validating with the business office the patient care costs per study protocol; Computer program experience with data management and analysis; Dental terminology background/experience; and Supervisory experience.  Learn more information and to apply, go to:  http://jobs.uiowa.edu, reference Req #72869Advertising 05/22/2018 – 06/05/2018.
