Dr. Daniel L. Hall was head of the Department of Family Dentistry from 1976 until 1994 when he became assistant dean for Clinic Administration. Dr. Hall retired in 1997.
Dr. Hall's teaching included Practice Management, Family Dentistry lectures, Group Practice Seminar, Family Dentistry Clinic I & II, and Diagnosis & Treatment Planning Seminar.
Dr. Hall's clinical activities included the AEGD Resident Program, direct patient care, and the Family Dentistry Clinic.
Dr. Hall's research included a federal TEAM grant and a "Development of Dental Diagnosis and Treatment Simulations" grant, which was funded by the University Computer-Based Education Committee.
Dr. Hall's professional memberships have included the International College of Dentists, the University District Society, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, the Iowa Dental Association, the Iowa Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the American College of Dentists, the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontists, the American Association of Dental Schools (including section chair), and the Academy of General Dentistry (including past president and treasurer).
