Dr. Walton joined the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1983. He is professor emeritus in the Department of Endodontics.
Dr. Walton was responsible for undergraduate classes in the areas of clinic and seminar instruction in the junior clerkship seminar on pulp response, lecture and laboratory instruction in the freshman oral histology course on pulp/dentin biology, and the sophomore preclinical oral pathology course on pulp/ periapical pathosis. Dr. Walton also gave postgraduate clinical and didactic instruction, including seminars; orientation; literature reviews and case reviews; as well as proctor cases.
Dr. Walton participated in intramural dental practice in the Department of Endodontics.
