About the Administrators
Dr. John J. Warren Director of the College of Dentistry’s Student Dental Research Program, Associate Professor, Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry. Dr. Warren joined The University of Iowa College of Dentistry as a postdoctoral associate in 1991. He became an adjunct assistant professor in the department of Preventive & Community Dentistry in 1996. In 1999 he became full-time assistant professor in the department and he is currently an associate professor. Dr. Warren's current research includes the study of factors related to dental caries in early childhood; longitudinal sucking patterns and dental arch development; longitudinal study of fluoride exposures and dental fluorosis; and fluoride and other factors in childhood bone development.
Dr. Teresa A. Marshall Associate director of the College of Dentistry’s Student Research Program, Assistant Professor, Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry, Registered dietitian. Dr. Marshall joined the University of Iowa College of Dentistry as an adjunct faculty member in 1991. She became a visiting assistant professor in the department of Preventive & Community Dentistry in 2002 and is currently a full-time assistant professor in the department. Dr. Marshall's current research includes diet and nutrition as related to both oral and systemic health.
Sara L. Anstoetter ![]() Assistant to the College of Dentistry's Student Research Program. Ms. Anstoetter joined the University of Iowa College of Dentistry as a clerk in 2003 and began her research project, "The Impact of Dental Student Research Training on Dental Trainees and Educators," in 2005. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a biology degree in 2006 and became a full time Program Administrator to the Student Research Program upon graduation.
