

Teaching Activities: Teaching responsibilities include predoctoral and postdoctoral lectures concerning oral histopathology, clinical differential diagnosis, head and neck pain, and therapeutic management.
Clinical Activities: Dr. Vincent is actively involved in the management of referred patients primarily in the areas of oral mucosal disease and head and neck pain.
Research Activities: Research activities include clinical studies concerning the diagnosis and management of oral candidosis, oral cancer, papilloma and herpes simplex virus infections and radiation mucositis.
National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Dr. Vincent is a member of the U.S. and Canadian Academies of Pathology; the North American Society of Head and Neck Pathology; The University of Iowa Cancer Center; The American Dental Education Association; the Academy of Sports Dentistry; the National Council Against Health Fraud; the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology; the AADR Experimental Pathology Group; the Iowa Association of Dental Research; the American Dental Association; the Iowa Dental Association; the University District Dental Society of Iowa; and the Johnson County Dental Society. Since 1996, Dr. Vincent has been a consultant to the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation. Since 1995, Dr. Vincent has been a member of the Test Construction Committee, Oral Pathology and Radiology, American Dental Association's Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations. He has been a board examiner, Oral Pathology, Royal College of Dentists, Canada, since 1994 and a board examiner, Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Royal College of Dentists, Canada, since 1993. Dr. Vincent is an advisor on Dental Materials, Instruments and Equipment, American Dental Association; and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of the American Dental Association.
