Brief Professional Resume:

Dr. Ringgold joined the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2007. He is a clinical professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Teaching Activities: Advanced oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Research Activities: Dr. Ringgold is one of the investigators for Dr. Clark Stanford's Atra Tech research project, which is researching nanoscience studies to improve bone and soft-tissue adhesion to medical devices, and studying how to improve understanding of bone growth on implant surfaces.

National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Dr. Ringgold is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is also a member of the American Dental Association.
