Administrative Activities:
Dr. Morgan is the graduate program director for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Teaching Activities:
Dr. Morgan is a Problem-Based Learning facilitator for first- and second-year dental students. She also teaches Anesthesia and Pain Control II and lectures to AEGD students, surgery residents, pediatric dentistry resident and to the junior clerkship. Dr. Morgan is a faculty case manager and faculty adviser.

Dr. Morgan's areas of research include nerve injury and repair, neuropathic pain, odontogenic keratocysts, anticoagulation chronic TMJ dislocation, and treatment of alveolar osteitis.
National or International Professional Appointments or Activities:
Since 2001 Dr. Morgan has been a reviewer for Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, and Endodontics. She is a member of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Academy of Osseointegration, the Johnson Country Dental Society, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Iowa Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Morgan is currently vice president of the Johnson County Dental Society (2004-05).
