Administrative Activities: Dr. Meredith is the division director, general dentistry, in the Department of Hospital Dentistry at UI Hospitals and Clinics. She also serves as the medical director for the department.
Teaching Activities: Dr. Meredith teaches in the general practice residency program at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She is a problem-based learning facilitator for the systemic disease course for freshman dental students.
Clinical Activities: Dr. Meredith provides general dental care to private patients at the Hospital Dentistry Institute.
Research Activities: Dr. Meredith is working on a collaborative research project with the College of Public Health, which is evaluating the oral health of methamphetamine abusers.
National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Dr. Meredith has received the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship Award. She currently serves as the Region X Trustee for the Academy of General Dentistry. She is past president of the Iowa Academy of General Dentistry; past president of the University District Dental Society, and a member of the following: Academy of Operative Dentistry, the American Dental Education Association, the Chicago Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Iowa Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
