Dr. Khera is a professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry. He also is an adjunct professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Iowa College of Engineering.

Teaching Activities: Continuing education lecturer, pre- and postdoctoral lecturer and clinical instructor.

Clinical Activities: Participant in intramural dental practice in the Department of Operative Dentistry.

Research Activities: Dr. Khera has had many research and clinical publications. His primary areas of interest are stress analysis due to cavity preparation design and tissue behavior under masticatory loading.

National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Faculty of International College of Dentists; external examiner for final B.D.S. Examination (Operative Dentistry, Crown & Bridge and Endodontics), University of West Indies, Trinidad; Ph.D. supervisor for Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt; guest lecturer, Trinidad, Kuwait, Thailand, Singapore and India.
