Teaching Activities: Dr. Justman is the Endodontics junior clerkship director and is responsible for undergraduate clinic and seminar instruction. He also gives postgraduate clinical and didactic instruction, including seminars, orientation, literature reviews and case reviews, as well as proctor cases. Dr. Justman provides didactic lecture and laboratory instruction in the preclinical endodontic course. He teaches in the Department of Family Dentistry as an endodontic consultant.
Clinical Activities: Dr. Justman teaches in the junior endodontic clinic and is a consultant in the senior Family Dentistry clinic. He also provides postgraduate clinical teaching to Endodontic postgraduate residents.
National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Dr. Justman is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the Johnson County Dental Society, the University District Dental Society, the American Association of Endodontists, the Iowa Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the American Dental Association. He is past chair of the Endodontic Section of ADEA, senator for the College of Dentistry in the UI Faculty Senate and serves on the Faculty Council. He is the secretary/treasurer of the Iowa Association of Endodontists. Dr. Justman is currently undergraduate representative to the Board of Directors of the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity and treasurer of the Iowa Men's Gymnastic Booster Club Board of Directors. He serves as auxiliary program chair for the Annual Session Planning Committee of the American Endodontic Association. He is also an editorial reviewer for Journal of Endodontics and the Journal of Dental Education.
