Brief Professional Resume:

Dr. Kolker joined The University of Iowa College of Dentistry faculty in 2005 after completing a research fellowship at the University of Michigan and a Ph.D. in oral science at Iowa as an NIDCR Dentist-Scientist. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry.

Teaching Activities: Dr. Kolker is a clinical instructor for junior dental students in the Department of Operative Dentistry.

Clinical Activities: Dr. Kolker participates in the intramural dental practice in the Department of Operative Dentistry.

Research Activities: Dr. Kolker's primary interests are in the areas of oral epidemiology such as oral health disparities (nutritional epidemiology and oral cancer) and health services research (dental treatment outcomes, preference of treatment, costs of treatment).

National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Dr. Kolker is a member of the American Association of Public Health Dentistry; the International and American Association for Dental Research; the Academy of Operative Dentistry; and the American Dental Association.
