Brief Professional Resume:

Dr. Casko served as professor and head, Department of Orthodontics from 1976 to 2002. In 2000, Dr. Casko was awarded the B.F. and Helen E. Dewel Endowed Chair in Clinical Orthodontics, the first endowed chair in the College of Dentistry. He previously served from 1971-1976 as director of Orthodontic Clinics at the University of North Carolina.

Teaching Activities: Dr. Casko is an experienced clinician and has applied his formal training in higher education to develop and present continuing education courses that are widely recognized for a high degree of clarity, organization, and practical application.

Clinical Activities: Dr. Casko is an active clinician, spending time each week in the private practice of orthodontics as well as instructing the orthodontic residents in the treatment of their clinic patients.

Research Activities: Dr. Casko is involved in the surgical orthodontic treatment of orthodontic patients, including research in this field.

National or International Professional Appointments or Activities: Dr. Casko is past president of the American Board of Orthodontics; past president, Midwest Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontics; editor, Practical Reviews in Orthodontics.
