The Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry held their Awards Luncheon on June 1, 2011 in the Oral B Classroom. The following students received awards.

Susan McKernan was recognized for receiving 1st Place in the Post-doctoral Graduate Dental Specialty Awards at the Local AADR Research Day.  Her mentor was Dr. Raymond Kuthy.

Elham Kateeb was recognized for receiving the 2011 IADR Education Research Group Student Travel Award

  • Alejandra Valencia received the Keith E. Heller Dental Public Health Graduate Research Award. She was also recognized for receiving Second Place, Leverett Graduate Student Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dental Public Health. Her mentor was Dr. Pete Damiano.
  • Bhagyashree Pendharkar was recognized for receiving Honorable Mention, Leverett Graduate Student Merit Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dental Public Health. Her mentor was Dr. Steve Levy.
