A Message from our Associate Dean for Research, Dr. Clark Stanford

Current collegiate research reflects contemporary oral health issues, such as the role of immunity in defending against oral infection; studies on the use of fluoride; population studies on fluorosis; the development of ceramics for biomedical applications; research on dental implants from the molecular and cellular levels to studies of their effectiveness in the human patient; access to oral health care; the effects of tobacco use on oral health; the dental implications of osteoporosis; craniofacial birth defects; and the care of patients who are medically compromised or who have special needs.
