Dr. Stein joined the College of Dentistry's Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2013.
Dr. Stein is the course director for the graduate course, Pain and Anxiety Control, and also the graduate course director for Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Stein practices a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant surgery, hard and soft tissue grafting, orthognathic surgery, pathology, reconstruction, facial trauma, and microsurgical nerve repair. He practices at the College of Dentistry, Hawkeye Oral Surgery, and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Dr. Stein is a member of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Iowa Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Association.
