On September 7, 2007, the Iowa Practice Opportunities Office and the University of Iowa Student Chapter of American Dental Education Association (ADEA) hosted a Rural Practice Panel for the College of Dentistry's students and the University of Iowa Pre-Dental Club members. Dentists and their spouses spoke candidly about their experience living and practicing in rural Iowa communities and answer audience questions. Panel members included Dr. Allen "Skip" Carrell and his wife, Mary Jo, from Shenandoah, Dr. Lori Mason and her husband, Paul, from Parkersburg, and Dr. Willy Wever and his wife, Sue, from Columbus Junction.
Attendees enjoyed a buffett dinner before the panel started speaking.
