100% Instructional Resources Associate–Dental Lab – Dental Administration - Req #66046

Provide predoctoral students, advanced education residents, and faculty with support in the laboratory related aspects of fixed, removable, and implant prostheses, with special emphasis in the area of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided (CAM) fabrication.  In addition, provide instruction in the CAD/CAM and other related technologies in the classroom, laboratory, and clinic.  REQUIRES:  Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; Certification by the National Board of Certification as a Certified Dental Technician (CDT); and 5 – 7 years’ experience, including --     Knowledge and use of current and new dental technologies, including use of computer-aided design and computer-aided machining; Knowledge of and ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain dental laboratory equipment; and Ability to balance duties related to the Technology Core with support needed for patient care priorities.  Salary:  $46,197 to commensurate.   For more information and to apply, go to:  http://jobs.uiowa.edu, reference Req #66005.  On Extended Advertising.


 

100% Clerk IV (Supervisory) – Req #016404

Hire & supervise staff and students in Central Records. Evaluate and interpret data from Oral Health Information System (OHIS). Provide clinic clerks with information regarding status and location of imported documents and radiographs. Assist with record audits and OHIS training of providers. Maintains the integrity of a complex database that requires specialized subject matter knowledge. Analyzes the data to maintain the database and generate reports. 100% Dental Assistant II – Clinic Administration – Req #016431

Assist and work with dentists, dental students and dental hygienists. Interacting with patients, assisting with the management of patients, training dental students in operation of the clinic, developing radiographs and chairside dental assisting. 100% Dental Assistant II – Pediatric Dentistry – Req #016437

Under general or direct supervision, per Iowa Dental Board rules, performs chairside duties in assistance and carries out all function which a dental assistant is legally certified to perform as delegated by the student or faculty dentist.   Performs responsibilities in an environment that includes faculty, grad and dental students.  Employee will rotate through Pediatric Dentistry clinics in the College of Dentistry, Center for Disabilities and Development, UIHC and outreach clinics.
