100% Instructional Resource Associate-Dental Lab – Req #65296
The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry is searching for a full-time Instructional Resource Associate. To support prosthodontic residents and faculty with the fixed and implant related laboratory aspects of their patient care. Provide prosthodontic residents/students with instruction in fixed and implant prosthodontic technologies in the laboratory, clinic, and classroom. REQUIRES: Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; Certification as a dental technician in fixed prosthodontics; and 3 - 5 years’ experience fabricating fixed and implant-supported prostheses including but not limited to - full-mouth rehabilitation, porcelain and esthetics, all-ceramic restorations and porcelain veneers, single- and multiple-unit implant prostheses, precision attachments, and surveyed crowns. DESIRABLE: Clinical Competency Training and Development; Knowledge and use of current and new dental technologies; Laboratory Equipment Operation; Clinical Leadership; Knowledge of and/or experience with dental restoration digital design; and Knowledge of and/or experience with milling dental restorations. 100% (Clinic) Clerk III – Req #015497
To serve as full-time Clinic Clerk at the College of Dentistry. Receives patients in person and on the phone, schedules appointments, prepares and reviews dental records for appointments, collects and enters scheduling and treatment data into the electronic Oral Health Information System. Prepare and enter practitioner schedules into data base. Requires: 20 wpm and six months experience working in a Windows based networked database using multiple data tools. Desirable: some knowledge of University policies, procedures and regulations; 1 year high volume public contact experience (on the phone/in person); public health care experience; experience explaining concepts; Dental terminology; and Spanish fluency.
