The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry is searching for a full-time Instructional Resource Associate. To support prosthodontic residents and faculty with the fixed and implant related laboratory aspects of their patient care. Provide prosthodontic residents/students with instruction in fixed and implant prosthodontic technologies in the laboratory, clinic, and classroom. REQUIRES: Bachelor’s degree in Dental Technology or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; Certification as a dental technician in fixed prosthodontics; and 3 - 5 years’ experience fabricating fixed and implant-supported prostheses including but not limited to - full-mouth rehabilitation, porcelain and esthetics, all-ceramic restorations and porcelain veneers, single- and multiple-unit implant prostheses, precision attachments, and surveyed crowns. The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry is searching for a full-time Health Care Services Associate Director. To oversee the clinic activities of the Hospital Dentistry Institute to include directing the operational, financial, human resources, and compliance activities of the Institute; impact and be responsible for administrative interface and coordination of operations with all other University Hospital Administration, College of Medicine Administration, and College of Dentistry Administration. REQUIRES: Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Health Administration, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience; Typically requires 5-7 years relevant experience in health services administration including the following skillsets -- Budgeting – Extensive Experience, Clinical Service/Department Operations Management – Extensive Experience, and HR OPERATIONS – Expert/Leader Experience. 50% Revenue Cycle Representative – Req #65262
Make adjustments to and verify charges to patient accounts in the Hospital Dentistry Institute. To assimilate and analyze medical/dental benefit data to the resolution of a patient’s account; disseminate this information to insurance carriers, 3rd party agencies, the patient, staff and faculty. Prepare and submit pre-authorization on the patient’s behalf to their insurance carriers. Analyze and explain results of pre-authorization to the patient. Collect money, apply to patient account and prepare deposits of revenue. REQUIRES: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Health Administration or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; 6 months to one year directly related experience which includes a full spectrum of activities managing claims processing in a medical/dental practice to include - Data Gathering and Reporting, Effective Communications, KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAL AND DENTAL CLAIMS, and General Computer Competencies. Assist and work with dentists, dental students and dental hygienists. Interacting with patients, assisting with the management of patients, training dental students in operation of the clinic, developing radiographs and chairside dental assisting. Will assist multiple providers.
