Department of Endodontics
The University of Iowa's College of Dentistry is presently conducting a search for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty in the Department of Endodontics. Major responsibilities include: clinical and didactic pre-doctoral and post-doctoral teaching, participation in the collegiate intramural dental service plan, research and scholarly activity, and service. The position is available July 1, 2012; screening begins immediately. Applicants must have: DDS/DMD or equivalent; completion of an ADA-accredited education program in Endodontics by the time of appointment; and board eligibility or certification. Desirable qualifications include: MS and/or PhD in the sciences; record of publication; and scholarship. Academic rank, track, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Department of Prosthodontics
The University of Iowa's College of Dentistry is presently conducting a search for a full-time clinical or tenure-track faculty in the Department of Prosthodontics. Major responsibilities include: preclinical and clinical teaching of fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics at the predoctoral and postdoctoral levels; and participation in the department's intramural faculty practice. The position is available July 1, 2012; screening begins immediately. Applicants must have: DDS/DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school or foreign equivalent, and by the time of appointment, a Master's Degree or Certificate in Prosthodonticsfrom an ADA-accredited dental school. Tenure track applicants must also have: research training/experience; and demonstrated scholarly/professional growth commensurate with time following completion of advanced education. Desirable qualifications include: Clinical experience via private, military, or institutional practice; board certification; and teaching experience. Department of Prosthodontics
The University of Iowa's College of Dentistry is presently conducting a search for a full-time Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics. This is a tenure-track position with major responsibilities: providing strong departmental leadership, facilitating faculty development and mentoring, contributing to the collegiate leadership team, and maintaining intra-collegiateand university collaborations. The position is available July 1, 2012; screening begins immediately. Applicants must have: DDS/DMD from an ADA-accredited dental school or foreign equivalent; completed an ADA-accredited advanced training program in Prosthodontics; Diplomate status of the American Board of Prosthodontics or be educationally qualified; a substantial record of scholarship; evidence of effective teaching; relevant administrative experience; ability to actively participate in a clinical practice; and demonstrated leadership ability through management of a diverse workforce. Desirable qualifications include: extensive clinical experience; PhD in a relevant field; and academic credentials consistent with tenured appointment at the rank of Professor.
