Brief Professional Resume:
Dr. Williamson joined the College of Dentistry in 2001. He practiced general dentistry in College Station, Texas,
for 17 years before returning to graduate school for his MS and certificate in prosthodontics.
Teaching Activities
: Dr. Williamson's primary teaching responsibilities are with the senior students in both
didactic and clinical training.
Clinical Activities
: Dr. Williamson treats patients with prosthodontic needs in the college-based practice.
Research Activities
: Dr. Williamson's research interests include accelerated aging and the chemical, physical and mechanical
properties of maxillofacial elastomers.
National or International Professional Appointments and Activities
: Dr. Williamson is a member of the American College of
Prosthodontists, American Dental Association (ADA), American Prosthodontic Society, and the Iowa Dental Association. He is a consultant to the
Council on Dental Practice of the ADA, an ADA CELL Seminar Series speaker, an CELL online reviewer, a member of the Mu Chapter of Omicron
Kappa Upsilon, and a member of the Johnson County District Dental Society. He lectures nationally and internationally on removable prosthodontic
and implant dentistry.
