Dr. Rouman joined the College of Dentistry in 2007. He is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Preventive & Community Dentistry and director of the graduate program in geriatric dentistry.
Dr. Rouman lectures about topics related to special care and geriatric dentistry. He supervises senior dental students during their clinical activities in the Special Care Clinic and the Geriatric Mobile Unit. Dr. Rouman also participates in the Problem Based Learning courses.
Dr. Rouman participates in intramural dental practice at the College of Dentistry and is co-director of the Special Care program at the College. He co-directs the clinic operations and clinical activities in the Special Care Clinic and the Geriatric Mobile Unit.
Dr. Rouman studies root caries in older patients and also the effects of radiation therapy on various oral structures.
