Brief Professional Resume:

Dr. Guzmán joined the Department of Operative Dentistry in 2001 after completing postdoctoral work at the College of Dentistry. She is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Operative Dentistry.

Teaching Activities

: Dr. Guzmán is director of the sophomore esthetic course and director of junior operative seminars and clinic.  She also teaches the first- and second-year graduate students in lecture and clinic.

Clinical Activities

: Dr Guzmán is currently the director of the Junior Clinical Operative Clerkship. She also participates in the first and second year graduate operative dentistry program. She participates in intramural dental practice in the Department of Operative Dentistry. She has, as well, her faculty patient practice.

National or International Professional Appointments and Activities

Dr. Guzmán is a current member of the American Dental Association; the Academy of Operative Dentistry; the American and International Associations for Dental Research; the CAMBRA Interest Group; the American Dental Educators Association, and the Hispanic Dental Association. She is the faculty advisor for the Student National Dental Association.
