Brief Professional Resume:
Dr. Clancy joined the US Air Force as a staff prothodontist in 1980. In 1984, he went into private
practice in Orlando, Florida. In 1986, Dr. Clancy joined the faculty at the University of Iowa College
of Dentistry.
Teaching Activities
: Dr. Clancy is co-director of the junior prosthodontic clerkship
and he assists with
directing the preclinical removable prosthodontic course as well as the prosthodontic graduate program.
Clinical Activities
: Dr. Clancy participates in the College of Dentistry's faculty practice and provides prosthodontic consults for Family Dentistry
two half days a week.
Research Activities
: Dr. Clancy's research includes analysis of physical properties of dental materials, epidemiology and demographics of implant patient populations, and
computer-assisted simulations for dental education.

: Dr. Clancy is a member of the American Prosthodontic Society, the American College of Prosthodontists,
the American Dental Association, the Federation of Prosthodontic Organizations, the University District Dental Society, the Iowa Dental Association, and the Johnson County Dental
Society.He is on the Executive Counsel of the American Prosthodontic Association.
