Brief Professional Resume:
Dr. Huang joined the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2003 as a full-time clinical assistant professor in the Department
of Preventive & Community Dentistry, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Prosthodontics. He began his clinical activities
in the Department of Prosthodontics in 2004 and in 2005, he became a full-time teaching faculty member in the Department of
Prosthodontics. He is currently involved in patient care within the
intramural faculty practice, with emphasis on the restoration of fixed
and removable prostheses as well as implant-supported prostheses.
Teaching Activities
: Dr. Huang participates in predoctoral teaching, including predoctoral fixed and removable
prosthodontic courses, the Prosthodontic Junior Clerkships clinics, and the graduate prosthodontic curriculum.
Clinical Activities
: Dr. Huang's clinical activities include patient care within the intramural faculty practice. His practice is
limited to prosthodontics, including the diagnosis and interdisciplinary treatment of the complex restorative patients requiring both fixed,
implant-supported, and removable prostheses.
National or International Professional Appointments and Activities
: Dr. Huang is a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. He
is also a member of American Dental Education Association and the American Prosthodontic Society. In 2008, he was elected as an active member of the
American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics.
